What’s ThematicMondo.com All About?
MISSION: Serve the Global Thematic Community with Resources and Recognition…
It’s important to give back when you’re in open source development. That’s what this site is all about.
What is Thematic? Thematic is a WordPress CMS (Content Management System) Theme Framework, created by Ian Stewart, that operates on the concept of Child/Parent theme structure. The parent theme is frequently updated to add new features, and to take advantage of the latest WordPress core updates. Developers, designers, webmasters, and site owners then can either create their own child themes, or use others leaving the main Parent theme separate and intact during upgrades. This allows developers and designers to focus on mostly CSS design of child themes, and not worry about the Parent Thematic theme which is nurtured, tested, and updated by the core Thematic programmers.

Who’s Behind this Site? We all are, in the best spirit of open source development. Specifically, this site is curated and edited by WebFadds.com, and Managing Editor, Scott Frangos, who wishes to thank all the dedicated and energetic programmers who have made Thematic possible and in particular, Ian Stewart who led with vision and code, Chris Goßmann, Lead Developer, and Gene Robinson, also on the development team. There are several others who are actively helpful, posting regular articles, and support help, plus many more who contribute but not so frequently. We will recognize and feature some more Thematic Rock Stars here, and will also be giving out awards for best articles, etc. Oh, and let’s not forget the Papa of the WordPress World sphere — Matt Mullenweg… Thanks!
