We’re pleased to shine the Spotlight on our Thematic Community RockStars…
Thematic Creator, Ian Stewart: What can we say but a big thank-you, and debt of gratitude for Ian who made everything Thematic possible by creating it in the first place. Ian launched and ran the popular website for Thematic, at ThemeShaper.com, until he was scooped up by the Automattic folks (the people who own and manage WordPress itself, led by Matt Mullenweg — get it Auto Mattic?), and became a full time member of their team. At his blog, Ian reports, “I work as a Theme Wrangler for the ever-awesome Automattic who make WordPress.com—where I wrangle WordPress themes—and a whole bunch of other cool stuff.” Thanks again for wrangling the very cool Thematic into the world, Ian.

Original Thematic Lead Programmer, Chris Gossmann: Chris hails from Germany living in a town called Leverkusen, on the Rhine River near Koln. He is a very helpful Thematic Forum poster (as of this writing the forums are moving… maybe to Chris’ site — stay tuned), and runs his own website with helpful posts about Thematic. The latest news is that Chris has handed off his Lead Programmer duties to Gene (next profile), so we wish him well and send a big thanks for all he has done. We have a suspicion he’ll still be contributing.

Thematic Lead Programmer, and Board Leader, Gene Robinson: Gene is an excellent programmer, code troubleshooter, and gives a generous amount of his time to the Thematic Community. He has around 19 pages of helpful posts on the ThemeShaper forums, posting hundreds of helpful comments and support replies. Gene has recently taken over the Lead Programming duties for Thematic (congratulations), and can use all the support you can muster. Interested in either beta testing, or helping with code? Helga the Viking, Kathy Darling: Why do we call her, “Helga the Viking”? That’s the name she uses on the ThemeShaper Forums, where she has over 22 pages of helpful comments and topics and, she owns and manages the site, Weight Training for Women. So while she is probably a physical Viking (we’ve not met her in person), and she has certainly done a Viking’s work on the support boards, we also think she shows the spirit of a Viking as she helps in the Thematic code warrior realms. Thanks Kathy. Still another way Kathy the Viking is providing code to the community is via GitHub, where she is maintaining and making available a theme options framework (see last link below).
